With a law degree and an M.B.A., Don is an expert in navigating the complex financial and legal issues impacting elder and transitional care in his native Western New York. Leveraging over 15 years in a variety of business, law firm and corporate legal department settings in both New York and Pennsylvania, Don guides seniors and their loved ones to evaluate all of the financial and legal issues that may arise when evaluating the safest senior living options. Don prides himself on helping families to understand their long-term care options based on a thorough analysis of all assets to ensure that families know how to best manage their senior loved one’s care needs. Don is also certified by the Department of Veterans Affairs to assist any Veterans working with CarePatrol to obtain any available benefits to help pay for long-term care.

After growing up in Western New York and then moving to Pittsburgh for 13 years, he and Julie recognized the value that the Western New York area brings to raise a family and the opportunity to be around family and friends.
Knowledge of the Area:
Don was born and raised in Western New York, and he has lived and worked throughout the region. As an attorney, the regulations and laws impacting seniors in New York State change every year, and Don prides himself on being able to provide guidance and support to seniors and their loved ones to navigate the daily challenges impacting seniors, including evaluating the potential communities where seniors may choose to live. Together with his wife Julie, they raise their young family in the region and look forward to their kids enjoying all of the great things that Western New York has to offer.
About Donald:
Don has worked as an attorney in both small and large law firms, and as in-house attorney in a variety of corporate legal departments, including both public and private companies, in both Pennsylvania and New York. In these various roles, Don focused on commercial litigation, estate planning, real estate, employment and compliance matters. Even though his professional career took him on a largely corporate path, Don learned the value of small businesses and supporting “local” by growing up and working in a family restaurant from the time he was 11 years old until he went to law school. Long before becoming an attorney, Don started playing the drums when he was 8 years old, was in his first band when he was in middle school, and continues to play to this day in a local cover band. When not trying to follow his rock star dreams, Don also enjoys coaching his kids in local youth sports.
